Faulu Plus ("we", "our", or "us"), provided by Wegazi, is an educational application and web platform designed to assist secondary school students and teachers in preparing for national examinations (NECTA FTNA, CSEE, ACSEE) in Tanzania.

- Account Information: When you register an account, we collect your name, email address, password (stored encrypted), and selected role (Student or Teacher) and academic level (e.g., Form I to Form VI).
- Academic & Learning Data: Questions answered, mock examination scores, subject mastery metrics, learning streaks, and (for verified teachers) submitted questions, marking schemes, and revision notes.
- Device & Technical Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, and application crash diagnostics to ensure app stability and performance.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect solely for educational and service improvement purposes:
- To authenticate your identity and manage your secure account.
- To provide tailored AI-assisted explanations, mock scoring, and instant academic feedback.
- To track your progress across NECTA curriculum topics and display your revision growth.
- To allow verified educators to author, review, and curate syllabus-aligned notes and past paper solutions.
- To maintain system security, prevent unauthorized access, and troubleshoot software errors.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We work with trusted industry-leading cloud service providers solely to operate our infrastructure:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud: Provides secure cloud hosting, authentication, database storage, and SSL encryption for all data in transit and at rest.
- AI Inference APIs: Provides generative academic explanations for study questions based on curriculum context. No personally identifiable student profile data is sold or used to train third-party public models.
5. Data Security & Storage
We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. All communications between the Faulu Plus application and our servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). User passwords are cryptographically hashed, and database records are protected by access controls.
6. Data Retention & Account Deletion (User Rights)
We retain your personal data only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our educational services. You have the right at any time to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
How to request data and account deletion:
1. Online Deletion Request Form: You can submit a deletion request directly at our dedicated web portal:

2. In-App: Open the app, navigate to Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account.
3. Email: Send an email from your registered account to support@fauluplus.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
Upon receiving your request, all personal information, progress records, and credentials will be permanently erased from our active databases within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Faulu Plus is designed as an educational tool for secondary school students. We adhere to applicable privacy frameworks, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable consent or supervision from parents, guardians, or participating schools.
